When she came alone to Canada from Sicily, Mama Villanti had nothing but the clothes on her back and a few scraps of paper with the recipes for her grandmother’s lasagna. With humble beginnings in the basement apartment of her Toronto home, Mama Villanti began cooking for local neighbors. Before long, her lasagna landed her a husband named Tony who was a local wine merchant. In 1915, ToVino Catering was born.
Today, I run the business, ensuring the same quality and attention to the finest detail that my mom did. All our dishes are still homemade and since 1999, using only fresh, organic, seasonal produce.
